On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, the members of the Team Wall Basketball program will host a Thanksgiving dinner for 130 women and children residing in The Salvation Army of Wake County’s Barbara L. Goodmon Women & Children’s shelter. The shelter, housed at The Judy D. Zelnak Center of Hope, assists women with children experiencing homelessness, some of which are fleeing domestic violence. The dinner will be held onsite at The Salvation Army located at 1863 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, N.C. from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family members of John Wall, board members and volunteers of the Team Wall Basketball program will be responsible for serving dinner to all participants.
John Wall Family Foundation has partnered with The Salvation Army of Wake county to bring Thanksgiving Assist to the families of The Salvation Army in Wake County. On Saturday, November 18, 2017, the family members of NBA Celebrity John Wall, John Wall Family Foundation and the staff of The Salvation Army of Wake County will give 250 turkeys to the families of The Salvation Army to help celebrate Thanksgiving. The event will be held at The Salvation Army of Wake County’s Corps and Community Center, located at 902 Wake Forest Rd. Raleigh, North Carolina from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
